We are pleased to announce the 3rd Next Generation Research and Development Conference (NextGen R&D Con), which will be held online from June 26 to 28, 2026. Following the success of previous editions, the conference will once again adopt a virtual format to encourage broad international participation and facilitate access for researchers and professionals worldwide.

The conference is dedicated to promoting innovative research in the fields of product and process development, technological innovation, engineering, and applied research. Coordinated by the organizing team based in Murcia, Spain, it provides an international forum where academics, researchers, industry professionals, and practitioners can present their latest findings, exchange ideas, and establish new collaborations.

Once the conference has concluded, all accepted contributions will be compiled into the official Conference Proceedings, which will be assigned an ISBN. The Scientific Committee will also recognize the three most outstanding papers with a special distinction. The proceedings volume will subsequently be submitted for evaluation and indexing in major scientific databases, including Clarivate’s Conference Proceedings Citation Index.

The scientific programme will feature keynote lectures delivered by invited experts, together with presentations of the three papers selected by the Scientific Committee as the conference’s best contributions.

The conference welcomes original research related to, but not limited to, the following areas:

• Artificial intelligence for data analysis, optimization, and decision support.
• AI-driven products, systems, and innovative solutions.
• Big Data applications for research, analytics, and knowledge discovery.
• Mathematical methods applied to product design and development.
• Development of innovative products, applications, and social processes.
• Advances in engineering and emerging technologies.

Regarding the conference dates, the registration period will be open from December 1, 2025, to May 1, 2026. The fee will remain unchanged for all registrants throughout this period. Payment for the entire conference will be exclusively through a bank card payment gateway (TPV).

Paper submission:

Submitted manuscripts must not exceed 8 pages and should be structured as follows:

• Page 1: Title, authors, affiliations, abstract, and keywords.
• Pages 2–7: Main content, including introduction, methodology or main body, results (where applicable), and conclusions.
• Page 8: References.

Authors are requested to prepare their manuscripts in Microsoft Word according to the conference template and the following formatting requirements:

• Font: Arial.
• Font size: 11 pt.
• Line spacing: 1.15.
• Title: 14 pt, bold.
• Affiliations: Italic.
• Section headings: 12 pt, bold.
• References formatted according to the APA style, including DOI whenever available.
• Citations within the reference list should be numbered using the [n] format rather than the author–year citation style.
